It was a pleasure to live and learn in Bournemouth. My host family was great! I hadn’t expected to meet such friendly, warm and tactful people because in Poland the stereotyped Englishman is cool and rather reserved. I had a super teacher – Gerard. The teachers are very kind and friendly at this school and also efficient and good at teaching. This has made studying English very enjoyable. Bournemouth is really suitable for studying because it’s safe and beautiful. The Language Laboratory, Library and Computer Room are very useful facilities which are free for studying. All the people here are friendly and help you with everything you need. Bournemouth is fantastic with its wonderful beach and its great nightlife. You have the opportunity to improve your English and socialise with people from around the world. Mike, my teacher, is fantastic. He reminds me a famous actor, Robin Williams, and his performance in The Dead Poet’s Society’. My English has really improved during my stay here. I studied at SSE for one month and my English improved. Now it is easier to understand and to speak. My teacher was very very good and very interesting. I met students from other countries and speaking to them is good practice. My host family was very good and my host father is a very kind man. I thought I would lose a lot of weight during my stay in Bournemouth but the food was good and I haven’t lost any weight!! Next summer I will definitely come back to study here. I came to Bournemouth to study English for my job in a hotel. My lessons are very good and my teacher, Trish, is very nice. My speaking and listening are much better than when I arrived and although I don’t like grammar, the teacher makes it interesting. I love the sea in Bournemouth and the beach is beautiful. My name’s Gianfranco and I’m from Italy. I’ve never been to England before. When I arrived I was curious to know my host family (Mike and Nicky). I want to give my heartfelt thanks to them for their courtesy and hospitality. I recommend the school to everyone. There are always a lot of activities: sport, excursions, films and activities where you can meet new people. Last but not least, you have a teaching staff with a very good grounding and, above all, patience. There is no doubt that your English will improve. Don’t forget!
